When did "environment" become synonymous with "global warming?"
Both Hillary's and Edwards' "environmental" issue statements are just tripe about how they're going to propose an international treaty to disuss global warming and how they're going to introduce a bill to make companies aware of greenhouse gasses. Or some junk.

Am I the only one who thinks this sounds like meaningless tripe?

6. I'm actually mildly embarassed by this
I am a strong proponent of climate change, while being one of global warming's most devout enemies. :P

5. Hillary's talking "clean coal."
Sigh...

I'm really not that down on Ms. Clinton, although I wish it were not true that the last time there wasn't a Bush or a Clinton on a ticket Jimmy Carter was running for re-election.

But there is no such thing as "clean coal."

Edwards is officially anti-nuke. I really, really, really, really want to like this guy, but I can't go the extra mile.

I'm undecided among the candidates.

In fact, no Presidential candidate can tell the truth and get away with it. It wasn't true in 1860; it wasn't true in 1960; and it isn't true in 2007.

The best we can hope for is a President who will do what he or she knows is the best in office and who will do it in such a way as to protect a largely ignorant public from themselves.
