Saudi Aramco reports oil output decline of 1.7 percent in 2006
Notice that exports declined at nearly twice the rate as production.

Nicosia, Sept 8: Saudi Aramco in its Annual Review 2006 said that last year the company's crude oil production declined by 1.7 percent, while exports declined by 3.1 percent, compared with the previous year.

1. Maybe it's evaporating before thay can load it onto tankers
After all it's pretty hot out there, and we do have global warming to take into account.

2. Well...glad I've gotten used to the idea of this...still sort of scary
to be printed in black and white! Thanks for posting. I think it might be good to put this into general discussion too for more exposure.

4. So, nations that rely on exports will take major hits first
As oil-producing nations increasingly hold onto their oil for domestic consumption, correct?

5. Yes, that's about the size of it.
It will increasingly suck to be an oil importer. Fortunately, no North American nations are in that category.

Oh, wait...

7. The double wammy!!
Both a production decline and export decline and still no movement from the sheeple.. ALthough these are small declines, they will only get bigger in the future..

6. That "Whump!!" sound effect you just heard off in the distance . . .
. . . was the sound of the world's biggest other shoe hitting the floorboards.

Of course, I'm sure there's plenty of oil beneath the Arctic Ocean just waiting to pick up the Saudi slack, to say nothing of the amazing 6,000 barrels/day output of the legendary Jack II well.

:eyes:

8. Hey, I'd forgotten about Jack II! (I wonder why?)
The landscape is veritably littered with saviours!
