Oil Approaching $80 - $79.66 at NYMEX welcome page
No story, but still interesting to jump over there and see these numbers.

Kind of like the gold numbers of $720.40 as of 1:42 EDT.

:wow:

2. The intra-day high on the inside page is at $79.94
She really, really wants to break $80, but she's still just a bit shy. Come on, honey, you can do it.

6. So, what will it take to get the price of crude ( I assume these prices are
...high grade sweet crude) to $100.00 per barrel?

7. Without any major risk events, just wait a year.
It's risen 33% in the 8 months since January, so 25% over the next year should be a slam dunk. Especially since OPEC isn't going to do diddly-squat and the world hasn't yet figured out that it's time to start reducing demand.

9. If I am real careful this month I just might be able to get through most
...of September on a single tank full of gas. I have been using 35 gallons a month since the beginning of the year on average. I have set a goal to use just 18.7 gallons this month and still do the things I need to do. We'll see I far I get without getting stranded

8. Probably not too much - the odd hurricane or two, war with Iran . . .
Oh, and they're still using WTI as the NYMEX standard for oil, so you're correct on grade.
