Oz Foreign Minister To Push For "Climate Declaration" At Singapore Conference
Edited on Tue Nov-20-07 01:14 PM by hatrack
Ooh, look! A declaration! Man, the flop sweat is really starting to reek.

Foreign Affairs Minister Alexander Downer says Australia will be pushing for a declaration on climate change at a meeting of Asian nations in Singapore.

Mr Downer is going to the East Asia summit today in place of Prime Minister John Howard, who will continue campaigning for this Saturday's federal election.

Mr Downer says he wants the 16 countries at the meeting, including China and India, to sign an agreement on reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
