The chief executive of E.ON has said that energy bill prices must rise for the world to be able to combat climate change.
Paul Golby said that energy companies need to revolutionise the way that they work in order to create a greener world, reports Reuters.
Mr Golby, the chief executive, said: "The time of a cheap energy world is over. We have to start treating energy differently.
"Quite frankly, we waste an inordinate amount. We need to get to where wasting energy is seen almost as the crime it is."
