ECO-conscious commuters seeking a quicker way to travel without harming the environment can now try a hydrogen-powered bicycle developed by a Birmingham company.

Valeswood Ltd, in Salisbury Road, Moseley, created the Pearl hydrogen electric bike which has enjoyed success in both Shanghai and London.

John claims this makes the bikes lighter to use, silent and pollution free and they reach speeds of up to 50mph and can run for 100 miles before the power runs out.

The bikes are currently being sold for research purchases to academic institutions, but they normally retail at about £2,500 + VAT.

1. In our area, CNG and propane are much more available

than hydrogen. Be nice if someone could make these things run on any one of the three.
