Island hydrogen technology lead (Outer Hebrides, UK)
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/scotland/highlands_and_islands/7412794.stm

A deal between Comhairle nan Eilean Siar and Air products will mean a dedicated hydrogen-fuelling station and storage facility being set up on Lewis.

The development, part of the council's Hebridean Hydrogen Seed (H2seed) project, will allow hydrogen-powered cars to refuel on the island.
It is hoped this could lead to an alternative to petrol and diesel.

The hydrogen-fuelled vehicles will be used as pool vehicles for council employees, as well as for educational and public awareness campaigns.

Project manager Ruairi MacIver said: "The Outer Hebrides and Scotland can be proud to be taking the lead in developing renewable hydrogen production and distribution technology; we are setting an example that will be followed across the world."

1. Hydrogen is NASTY right now..
Very little of it is made from solar and wind power and most of it is made from Oil and Coal use.
