London, 26 April 2011: According to a recently released report by the Climate Change Policy Division, Japan has enormous renewable energy resources which can help it make substantial efforts towards energy independence.
The report states the theoretical wind and solar energy potential and then takes into account the technological constraints related to infrastructure expansion to determine the actual possible capacity addition. Further, the report calculates the capacity addition possible under the various financial incentive programs and through technological innovations.
