2. Perhaps we'll get Digamma and Upsilon before the end of the year.

I wonder how far into the alphabet we'll have to get before somebody goes, "Gee, something seems to be a trifle fked up with our weather patterns." Omega anyone? Or maybe the hurricane "season" could just wander on until they start back with the A-names again.

4. probably not this year, but the season is lengthening.

Somebody else here brought up the idea of an endless tropical storm season. Maybe if the north atlantic current continues to fail, the southern waters will remain hot enough year-round? At least until the ice-age kicks back in.

I think that one of the greatest shortages facing humanity today is the shortage of hurricane names. We simply must all do our part to address this critical shortage, brought on by the type of indifference and complacency in the World Meterological Society in ignoring names beginning with X, Y, Z, Q and U.

This serious name crisis must be addressed. We may need every name we can get.
