in Iraq in his NY Times column of gibberish.
Tommy "the war in Iraq was not about oil" Friedman is not someone I usually bother to read, understanding as I do that he is a totally glib clueless dunderhead.
Still, stuck in a toilet stall with only his column to read, forced to choose between reading graffitti about opportunities for gay sex if I meet someone in the stall at 3:00 pm on Friday and Tommy's column, I foolishly chose the column.
Tommy's in a tizzy. He thinks that it would be good for America if Toyota buys GM forthwith because GM is offering rebates based on how much extra money people have to spend on Gas to drive a GM SUV. This he says, is an incentive for people to consume.
Well enough Tommy. It is a bad idea.
But what reasons does Tommy offer for why it is a bad idea. Because "Our military in a war on terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan with an enemy who is fueled by our gasoline purchases?"
Say what, Tommy?
Maybe you should read before you blather. Most people have learned that the war in Iraq was not about terrorism. It was always about oil Tommy. You didn't get it? You didn't hear it?
Heeeeeeeeeelllooooooooooooo?!?
I would post a link to Tommy's column in the New York Times, but apparently you have to pay to read this shit, even on line. I certainly wouldn't want anybody to needlessly so waste the money, or even the extra electronic energy to read it.
