2. I watched part of it, although I drifted off a little.
Gore is very, very persuasive on this issue, and his persuasiveness derives from his utter conviction about what he's saying. He is so different from some of his campaign appearances in 2000, when even I, a real supporter of his environmental policies, tended to get a little restless. He has found his voice, and I believe that he will be much more effective in promoting his cause leading outside the Oval Office than he would be distracted by all the other issues that would pass his desk there. Nonetheless, I couldn't help but think about what our country would be like if he had taken the helm in 2001. He also obviously feels nothing but contempt for Chimpy.

The scariest thing his says is that we may reach the point of no return on climate change in 10 years--that's runaway climate change in 10 years. I simply do not see how the world's people and their governments will be able to drop carbon emissions so quickly. I have been concerned about climate change/GW for a few years, but somehow it hasn't registered with me that we have only ten years!

3. I was grateful Charlie let Al get a word in edgewise.
Charlie usually likes to answer his own questions beforethe guests get a chance.

4. I saw it. The President-elected came across as a little too didactic,
and he ignored some elephants on the table.

But I would vote for him in a New York minute. I believe he understands the issue perfectly. I would not expect him to say the obvious things - he is a politician after all - but once in office I know he will do the right things.

I hope he runs.

I've never actually seen Charlie Rose. Charlie is more than a little annoying.
