Winemaker in Napa Goes Solar!

Great positive story about economic and environmental success by the use of solar power.

NAPA COUNTY (KRON) -- Being a good environmentalist seems to make good business sense for wine makers. The biggest solar-powered wine making facility is now up and running in Napa.

Why wouldn't any company want to be a good environmentalist and at the same time save big money? Domaine Carneros hopes to spark a new trend in winemaking.

..............

Powerlight, the Berkeley company that set up the solar-powered building at Domaine Carneros says the wine country is ideal for solar power. "One of the reasons why the solar market is exploding so dramatically and we are seeing projects like this at Domaine Carnernos is that the costs have dropped so dramatically and reliability is so high. Every solar panel comes with a 20-year power guarantee," Daniel Shugar of Powerlight Corporation says.

I don't think this is considered commercial, anyway it was the indirect source of the story above. Enjoy the story, at any rate.
