Four Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) Taipei City councilors began seeking support yesterday for their campaign to bring about reform in the KMT and bring an end to KMT Chairman Lien Chan's (??) time as the party's leader.

The four councilors -- Chen Chin-hsiang (???), Chen Yung-te (???), Chen Yi-chou (???) and Chen Cheng-chung (???) -- said they are fed up with the unconstructive arguments and complaints that KMT heavyweights have been making since the presidential election and that the individuals making the complaints have not put forward any worthwhile proposals for solving the party's problems.

"We need reform and we need a new leader," Chen Chin-hsiang said.
