The money trail stinks...

The suppressed section on Saudi Arabia in the recent
Congressional report on 9/11 has a background embarrassing
to Riyadh and to Washington D.C.

Princess Haifa al-Faisal is again shocked. Leaks
from the classified section of the U.S.
Congressional inquiry conducted over the last 10
months apparently indicate a connection between
her and the bin Laden men who carried out the 9/11
terror attacks. The princess had already expressed
how she felt about "this scandal" last November,
when the suspicions first arose.

Princess Haifa is not merely the wife of Bandar
bin Sultan, the Saudi ambassador in Washington.
She is also the daughter of the late King
Faisal who was assassinated in 1975 (by a
relative) and she is also the sister of Turki
al-Faisal, a former head of Saudi intelligence,
and of Mohammad al-Faisal, one of Saudi
Arabia's biggest financiers. Each of these
people now has a reason to be angry at the U.S.
Congress and administration, the Jewish lobby
and just about everyone else, over the new
revelations of possible involvement of senior
Saudi figures in financing the activities of
some terrorists.

Officially, no senior figures in the kingdom
have seen the classified part of the report on
the investigation. President George W. Bush
explained that this section was classified
in order to hide the names of sources
and methods of inquiry. The Saudis say the U.S.
cannot prove anything definitively and
therefore it classified this section. However,
the heavy smoke screen surrounding this report
is an indication of the roaring fire within,
and the classified parts will soon find their
way to the press.
