Stupidities involved in open carry is to make yourself a target. I mean if I were going to start shooting my first target would be the guy that I can see is carrying and is most likely to shoot back. So if you have a gun on your hip, or anyplace else in plain sight you also have a target on you.

8. I remember a thread on THR a few years back
About some punk that tried to rob a 7-11 and walked right by a guy OCing a Ruger Vaquero (IOW not a tiny little mouse gun that no one would notice) and open fired on the clerk. he got shot for his trouble

4. Well, since the "antis" are not going to suffer when a family member is shot
accidentally, or when a pet is shot accidentally, or when a gun is used to commit a suicide, feel sorry for yourself.

6. Wait, what? Your post makes no sense.
Are you insinuating that people who hate guns will not suffer when some member of their family or one of their pets accidentally gets shot? I mean, I know that people who oppose gun rights are a little "off", but I'm pretty sure they will still feel bad if someone they know is harmed or killed by a firearm.
