High school student prepared for the Rapture with guns (FL)

Michael Boyko, 17, feared last weekend's Rapture rumors could be true.

So he prepared for the Big Event last Saturday.

The teen from North Fort Myers loaded his Dodge Neon with three shotguns, one loaded semi-automatic handgun, one loaded revolver, two bayonet-style knives in sheaths, a pair of black gloves, a vodka bottle and a case of Bud Light, along with the bolt cutters, ski mask and ammunition, reports The News-Press in Fort Myers.

But someone saw him with a gun at an event on Saturday at Riverdale High School in Bradenton and told a teacher.

Either that, or that he would need to bolt-cutters and ski mask to sneak past Jesus.

It figures...

There is a deli down the street from me that sells more brands of fine beers than one can imagine. We were hanging around, drinking wine, when this guy walked in and asked where the canned beers were. General amusement abounded.

When he walked up to the bar with three cans of Bud Light we all spontaneously laughed out loud.

I don't think that he got it.

I wouldn't drink it, as I like dark beers. But to each their own.

Pretty much everyone I know is in either the wine or weed business. If it ain't quality, it is crap and we want none of it. If you want crap, go to Napa.

There is a saying here, "If you want good wine, come to Sonoma. If you want transmission fluid, go to Napa".


Three guys walk into Hopmonk Tavern in Sonoma. One guy was from Napa, one from Marin and one from Sonoma.

The guy from Napa lifted a super-magnum of sparkly from Silver Oak winery and said, "This is some of Silver Oak's finest bubbly and it's all on me."

The guy from Marin takes a quart ZipLoc full of cocaine out of his briefcase, dumps it on the bar and proclaimed, "This is the best shit I could find in Mill Valley and it's for everyone."

The guy from Sonoma snorts the entire pile of coke and knocks back the bubbly.

Napa and Marin, "WTF!!!!????".

Sonoman, "Hey, dudes, we're in Sonoma!".
