1. Slipped and fired 6 shots to the back of his head and neck?
All the nail guns I've used had a pressure safety on the end.

3. I'm trying to figure this out myself
All the nail guns I've ever seen that could fire a nail that size are a foot to a foot and a half high...

Damn tough to get your hand that far behind your head even for an instant, much less long enough to shoot nails into the back of your head.

Notice also that three nails are pointing straight ahead, one is down, and two are from the side...so he acidentally shot himself three times in the back of the head, turned his wrist and did it again from a different angle, then held the gun up to the side of his head for two more "accidents?" Uh-HUH.

13. I read the story in the LA Times
He fell from a roof and an another construction worker below fumbled around to avoid falling himself gripped the nailgun he was using tightly which just so happened to be pointing at the back of this guy's head. If one nail was a few millimeters to the left or right, he would be dead. He's a lucky SOB considering the circumstances.

6. On nail guns sold in home improvement stores (e.g Home Depot)...
the pressure safety is required. However, contractors are able to purchase guns with no safety, which may be fired at any time. There are also models that include a "touch-fire" trigger. These are usually preferred, as the user can hold the trigger down and bump-fire the nails. (Picture a roofer bump-firing nails for the shingles.)

If this guy was using a "touch-fire" trigger, six nails could fire in just a couple of seconds.

http://www.allmax.com/MILT/drill_gg.html

If you did that to a gun it would probably be an NFA violation.

For main M.I.L.T. site see http://www.allmax.com/MILT/

12. Only racist use Nail guns.

Just the other day I passed a construction site full of Right wingers firing away with their nail guns....No doubt fully supported by the scummy housing industry.
