Duo sliced from pie case - Canadian PM pied

Charges against two young men linked to last month's pie attack on Alberta Premier Ralph Klein were dropped Thursday, but an assault charge against a third man is sticking.

Mr. Klein was whacked in the face with a banana cream pie as he began speaking at his annual Calgary Stampede breakfast. Mr. Klein, who later said the blow to the head hurt, vowed to push for prosecution of the perpetrators.

It may be sort of technically correct to call the Premier of a province "prime minister", but it isn't ordinarily done anywhere.

Klein is the Premier of Alberta -- hearing him called "Canadian PM" is enough to start one of those refugee flows in a southward direction, if it doesn't cause widespread heart failure first.
