OMG! Buchanan actually makes sense: The Persecution of the Palestinians
Edited on Sat Jun-03-06 09:13 PM by originalpckelly
"The Persecution of the Palestinians

by Patrick J. Buchanan

“Why do they hate us?” So stunned Americans asked, after 9/11, when we learned that across the Arab world, many were saying, “The Americans had it coming.”

For a textbook example of why we are hated, consider Gaza and the West Bank. There, a brutal Israeli/U.S.-led cutoff in aid has been imposed on the Palestinians for voting the wrong way in a free election."

Wow! He must be a terrorist or something saying America had it coming. I seem to remember Jeremy Glick saying something like that on Fox and he was shouted down by O'Leilly.

Here is the article in full:

I am so surprised he makes some sense at all.

2. I just want food & jobs & an end to checkpoints for the Palestinians...
It is in the interest of the safety of Israelis and it is in the interest of basic human decency.

3. I posted an article by Pat Buchanan on DU more than three years ago.
And I cringed when I did it, because of the author, but I agreed with what he was saying and others here did, as well. I was surprised too, since I never thought I'd agree with anything that he had to say, but he has made a lot of sense in recent years. He's a true conservative, is vehemently opposed to most of this administration's policies, especially their economic policies and the Iraq war. The Bush* policies go against everything that the conservatives believe, as well as offending us liberals. And don't forget the title of Buchanan's book, "Where the Right Went Wrong." He means it and has been speaking out.
