Iran leader's aide: Jews are filthy

Jews are filthy people, and that is why they have been accused throughout history of spreading deadly disease and plagues, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s advisor Mohammad Ali Ramin told students during a visit at the town of Rasht, the Iranian news site Rooz Online reported Thursday.

Ramin, a historian who serves as the president's most senior aide, is believed to be the man behind the regime's recent statements that the Holocaust is a myth.

I really loathe the rampant anti-Semitism in much of the Mid-East. But I still believe that this statement and others like it are planted by the propaganda wing of the US government.

6. This attitude is quite typical in Iran.

It far predates this government, the Islamic revolution, and the establishment of Israel. It's just plain racism, and it didn't need to be "planted by the propaganda wing of the US government."

9. I understand that clearly. But I also think

that this government will make things up, like the special clothing for non-Muslims thing, just as part of their propaganda and scare tactics. Just because hatred of Jews is rampant in the Middle East , that doesn't mean our government won't still make stuff up.
