Fox & Judith Miller Condemn Israeli Media Censorship
* Surprising, but in a good way.

April 9, 2010, 11:09AM

I have to give FOX NEWS a loud sustained shout out for going after the Israeli government for arresting an Israeli reporter who leaked classified information to Ha'aretz.

The reporter then disappeared, which the press knew about, but was not allowed to report. In fact, Israeli papers were published with the offending paragraphs blacked out like in China. Fortunately, the media including Fox raised an uproar. And the Israelis backed down, The reporter remains under house arrest but the ban on publishing about her in Israel has been lifted.

As everyone knows both FOX NEWS and former New York Times reporter, Judith Miller, are very very pro-Israel. But in this segment, they let the Israelis have it for behaving like some dictatorship. And the excellent Shep Smith predicts that his report will produce automatic condemnations of him and Miller as anti-Semites. Miller agrees and expresses disgust at the practice of throwing that word at anybody who says or writes anything critical of the Jewish state.

Neither seems remotely intimidated.
