Hamas official's daughter treated in Israel
The daughter of a senior Hamas official in Gaza has been treated for a heart condition by Israeli surgeons in Ashkelon, as she was too sick to travel to Jordan. The girl, aged 3, who is the daughter of Hams Interior Minister Elham Fathi Hammed had previously been treated unsuccessfully in Gaza.

Jordan’s King Abdullah is believed to have personally requested the Israeli authorities to allow the girl to be transported through Israel for surgery in Jordan. Because of the girl’s critical condition, surgeons in Bazilai Hospital in Ashkelon has to stabilise her condition and repair the damage done by the surgery in Gaza before she could be moved to Jordan.

She was later transported to Amman, Jordan by helicopter. She is believed to have left hospital earlier this week. No Jordanian or Palestinian media reported on Israel’s role in the girl’s treatment but Mr Hammed issued a public statement thanking King Abdullah and Jordan for saving the girl’s life.

Terror Teddy Bear Teaches Martyrdom
Hamas continues to educate children to become “martyrs” who die while waging war on Israel. In one of the latest episodes of its children's television show, Pioneers of Tomorrow, the terrorism-loving teddy bear Nassur urges children to sacrifice themselves, and a caller assures them that if they become martyrs, they will go to Paradise.

"Dear children, when we grow up, we will become martyrs, God willing... the pioneers of tomorrow will liberate the Al-Aksa Mosque," Nassur declares.

A caller from Holland then sings a song that begins, “When we get martyred we will go to Paradise... No, don't say we are too small.” The song concludes, “I am willing to sacrifice my blood for my country. Without Palestine our childhood means nothing.”

6. FRAK Israel!
One act of kindness, at the request of Jordan's king, does not change the racist character of what passes for zionism nowadays.

12. Anyone who doesn't hate Israel's current government is, at best, very wrong indeed.
Hate is only a bad thing when it's directed at something one shouldn't hate.

19. The only mask here is that one you are wearing
No liberal can support the oppression of a people, which is what Israel is doing just as Apartheid South Africa did.

So your reasoning falls apart.

How else will you justify your hatred?

25. Really? Tell that to LGBTs in Jerusalem that the rocks thrown at them are love pebbles
or to the women rabbis that attempted to carry to Torah scroll to the Western Wall and were attacked by the "modesty' brigade of religious thugs.

26. Ask those LGBT if they want to move to Gaza or the WB
And those religious thugs aren't the representatives of the government or majority population.

In Gaza and the WB they would be attacked by government forces.

16. Let's have a single, secular, and democratic state in Palestine
where Jews and Muslims enjoy equal rights, and where religious zealotry from anyone is not tolerated.

Israel killed the 2-state solution long ago. The only remaining issue is what sort of 1-state solution we are going to have.

21. Israel destroyed itself when it chose the 1-state solution path
The absorption of Arab lands and property, the creation of new facts on the ground, and Israel's public declaration that it will never return East Jerusalem and some parts of West Bank are evidence that we already have a 1-state solution in place.

Why would any liberal oppose democratic government, particularly if the majority is prevented from abusing the minority as our Bill of Rights does.

13. One child allowed basic medical treatment, thousands* denied it, and you expect us to cheer?
That you view "Israel behaves marginally less wickedly than it has the power to do" as newsworthy speaks volumes.

*I think I should be writing "hundreds of thousands" here, but it's possible that it should be "tens of thousands" so I went with "thousands" to be safe; if you don't restrict it to children you might be looking at "millions", but only just.
