From Beirut to Jerusalem
http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=JPost/A/JPArticle/ShowFull&cid=1060319826181

Neither the Palestinians nor Hizbullah have made any real attempt to hide their actions or intentions. The actions of both the Israeli and US governments have shown that there is no reason for them to bother. Where Hizbullah is concerned, both Israel and the US have made concerted efforts since May 2000 to ignore the fact that the group is involved in achieving its long-term goal of destroying Israel.

Its sporadic and deadly attacks against the Northern have gone unanswered. Who recalls Ehud Barak's promise that the minute Hizbullah tried to act against Israel, the IDF would return to Lebanon and destroy the organization? What price has Syria been forced to pay for its direct armament of Hizbullah and its continued refusal to allow the Lebanese army to deploy to the border with Israel?

As for the Palestinians, both Israel and the US are pretending that by repeating the exact policy adopted with such abysmal result toward Hizbullah, the opposite result will be achieved. Both claim that by granting legitimacy to the PA, it will somehow be magically transformed from a terrorist actor to a peaceful neighbor.

The toll this irrational policy will take on US national security interests will be indirect. The decision to embrace a terror regime will no doubt erode America's deterrence against the terror groups it is actively fighting. But for Israel, the decision to repeat the strategic catastrophe of Lebanon with the Palestinians puts the future of the country itself in jeopardy.

interesting perspective.

1. This fellow needs a Valium.
Not doubt the Hezbollah and Hamas will shortly enforce their
dictatorship on the whole World and run around decapitating
random non-Muslims in public. Indulging in this sort of emotional
twaddle cannot be good for this persons arteries, now can it?

Unfortunately, this in not one of this persons times today.

I wonder, does anyone have just one noid? Or does one always
have a pair of them.

Edit: I wondered about the gender, but am not willing to register,
and it doesn't like my browser anyway.

do they? Since when? :eyes:

I generally don't like paranoid bigots, and the author is one of them.

11. I'll save you the time...
http://www.roadtopeace.org/resources/governance/palestine_charter.htm

Article 1: Palestine is the homeland of the Arab Palestinian people; it is an indivisible part of the Arab homeland, and the Palestinian people are an integral part of the Arab nation.

Article 2: Palestine, with the boundaries it had during the British Mandate, is an indivisible territorial unit.

(ed. note....read ISRAEL)

Article 9: Armed struggle is the only way to liberate Palestine. This it is the overall strategy, not merely a tactical phase. The Palestinian Arab people assert their absolute determination and firm resolution to continue their armed struggle and to work for an armed popular revolution for the liberation of their country and their return to it . They also assert their right to normal life in Palestine and to exercise their right to self-determination and sovereignty over it.

(ED NOTE....read murder)

Article 19: The partition of Palestine in 1947 and the establishment of the state of Israel are entirely illegal, regardless of the passage of time, because they were contrary to the will of the Palestinian people and to their natural right in their homeland, and inconsistent with the principles embodied in the Charter of the United Nations, particularly the right to self-determination.

Article 20: The Balfour Declaration, the Mandate for Palestine, and everything that has been based upon them, are deemed null and void. Claims of historical or religious ties of Jews with Palestine are incompatible with the facts of history and the true conception of what constitutes statehood. Judaism, being a religion, is not an independent nationality. Nor do Jews constitute a single nation with an identity of its own; they are citizens of the states to which they belong.

(ed. note....read DELEGITIMIZATION)

15. ...
http://www.arabicnews.com/ansub/Daily/Day/981215/1998121535.html

Somehow Hamas managed to refuse to accept the PNC making amendments to it when it happened in the presence of Bill Clinton and simultaneously it never happened.

The charter is the last refuge of the Israeli propagandist and it's incredible to me that they ever had to mess with it in the first place. No one suggested Israel had to go back and amend the first Zionist congress decisions to create a state that included trans-jordan.

16. I think you misunderstood me, Drdon...
the author of the article implied strongly that the Palestinians as a group has no desire to let Israel live-in fact, comparing them to Hizbollah. NOT ALL PALESTINIANS ARE TERRORISTS.

The charter you mentioned was not done by an elected representative of the Palestinian people. Even if you can find some "evidemce" connected with shoddy links that the elected representatives of the Palestinian people (of which there are none) support this charter, you must remember the George W. Bush is an... well, almost... elected representative of the American people. I assume you do not believe in the PNAC, drdon? Should "Americans," as a group, be spoken of as crazy imperialists who wish to dominate the world?

:argh: indeed.

14. Terrorists
I would think that you wouldn't merit being a "paranoid bigot" if you think the palestinian terrorist groups want to destroy Israel, although you can't prove it very effectively.

he or she is speaking of the Palestinians as a people. See post #16, Ruminator.
