Israel warns Hezbollah attacks will cause retaliation

Israel has warned Syria that it will strike Syrian targets inside Lebanon if Hezbollah continues its shelling inside Israel.
Three days of Hezbollah artillery fire has left one Israeli dead and several wounded.
In a warning delivered to Syria by the United States, Israel says it will defend itself against Hezbollah attacks by striking Syrian positions inside Lebanon.
For the past three days, the Syrian-backed Hezbollah has used its bases in southern Lebanon to pound Israeli border towns.

I suppose we are fortunate that it has been relatively placid for the last couple of months.

The U.S. is warning Syria on behalf of Israel. Syria and Israel do not have official diplomatic relations, but the Syrians must feel that they are getting double-teamed by Israel and their new neighbor to the East, the U.S.A.

If Syria fired just one time we' or Israel would be all over them like shit in a toilet. War would be declared.

Hiz can not piss without Syria's permission.

Indeed Syria claims that Leb is part of Syria - but they run a government there that is Leb and stay in the background.

Syria's conquest of Lebanon is never an issue here. We are not supposed to notice when an Arab nation does that. But if Israel does ANYTHING, it is automatically wrong.

This is about Isreal/Syria, Israel/Lebenon, U.S.A./Syria, U.S.A./Iran, U.S.A./Israel (by way of allegations by the U.S.A. of support for Hezbollah) more than I/P. Oh, well.
