Israel co-ordinates with US construction of (training base)
The IDF is planning to build a mock up of a Palestinian town in the Negev, as a training base for urban warfare. The army’s ground forces commander Brigadier-General Yiftah Ron finalized the plan in discussions with counterparts from the United States last week.

The project, estimated at NIS 60 million, is based on the lessons of the Intifada and the concept that urban warfare will continue to occupy the IDF no less than the conventional battlefield. The training base, which will be the first of its kind in the world, will resemble a Palestinian town complete with apartment buildings, a market place and a casbah (old city with narrow alleys). The streets will be monitored by closed circuit television cameras. Needless to say, the houses will not be inhabited.

The houses will not be inhabited? They could be stocked with captured Palestinian militants! I jest, of course.

No you don't. Perhaps the houses could be stocked with rock throwing Palestinian children.

Or ISM peace protestors.

Israel prefers to execute, not capture, Palestinian militants with rockets, along with any children who happen to be nearby.

I think you've helped a lot of people who were neutral towards Israel/Palestine affairs to lean towards the Palestinian side. Thank you, Herschel. You've opened my eyes.
