Palestinian militants kill Israeli Arab student, apologize for slaying
A jogger killed by Palestinian militants in a drive-by shooting was an Arab college student mistaken by the assailants for a Jew, the victim's father and militants said Saturday.

George Khoury, 21, was shot dead Friday evening in a Jewish neighborhood of Jerusalem that borders the West Bank.

The Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade, an armed group linked to Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's Fatah movement, claimed responsibility for the shooting. It apologized for the slaying on Saturday after the victim was identified as an Arab.

These groups like al-aqsa MURDERS brigade and everyones
favorite, IJ , should be destroyed. I believe there is simply no
way to negotiate with them. (Sadly I used to believe that).

...it did happen to the IDF awhile back. Remember when an IDF sniper shot a Jewish protester during a demonstration against the wall? I believe the IDF sniper said the reason he shot this person was because he thought he was an Arab. Ooops!

Arafat and his colleagues, speaking through Voice of Palestine Radio
yesterday, made it clear that their actions were an innocent but tragic mistake not because they had murdered an unarmed man in Jerusalem but because the man turned out to be an Arab and not a Jew.

The "you folks" you are referring to are not the leader of an entity that wants to become a recognized state in the world.

I know it might be a subtle difference but let's try to put it into perspective.

recognized in many people's minds. Opposed to some here, Palestinians as a nation and Palestine do exist, as does the territory that belongs to them (also according to the UN and the post WW2 agreements).

They have already won the hearts and minds of many people with their struggle and injustice they have to put up, for the last 3 decades.

That "entity" exists. Like it or not. And they ain't going away just because Sharon and his likud gang would wish so.. OR their supporters for that matter

We all know that from now on we're only to blame Sharon for everything. Every death by suicide-homicide attack, every sniper and every bomb hurled at Israeli cars. It's all Sharon's fault. Maybe it always was, so what's so new about that?
