Anti-withdrawal camp says it has narrow lead ahead of vote
The estimates put forth Saturday, one day ahead of the Likud referendum, by groups opposed to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's disengagement plan state that voting on the Gaza pullback plan will be balanced, with a slight advantage for those opposed to the plan.

The groups stated that the impact of interviews Sharon granted over the weekend narrowed the gap between those in favor and those opposed to the plan.

Meanwhile, supporters of Sharon's plan made a last-minute effort Saturday evening to muster support in the referendum, with telephone messages to thousands of Likud voters, including excerpts from the prime minister's television interviews aired the night before.
