Flashpoint Jerusalem shrine reopened to visitors
http://famulus.msnbc.com/FamulusIntl/reuters08-20-030535.asp?reg=MIDEAST

" Israeli police allowed tourists to visit a flashpoint Jerusalem shrine under heavy security on Wednesday after it had been closed to non-Muslim visitors for most of the past three years.

Known to Jews as the Temple Mount and to Muslims as al-Haram al-Sharif, the shrine has often been the scene of Israeli-Palestinian violence and has become for Palestinians a symbol of their 34-month-old uprising for statehood.
''After weighing the matter it was decided to reopen the Temple Mount today to visitors...(and) several hundred tourists and Jews visited the Temple Mount today,'' said Jerusalem police chief Mickey Levy.
''Whoever wants to visit the Temple Mount can from now on visit the Temple Mount during the hours the Temple Mount was open in the past,'' Levy said.
The shrine is built on the site of the biblical temples and is holy to Christians, Jews and Muslims. It contains two of the Islamic world's most sacred mosques."

Let the Palestinians turn their anger on this toward the terrorists. A fitting reward for the mass murder.

2. So you are stating that this is a provocation?

or some form of retribution?

"A fitting reward for the mass murder."

As some still claim Sharon did not intend to provoke a reaction with his initial visit?

Again, brilliant timing...as long as others die while some are safely thousands of miles away.
