Is the media really this stupid?
I just heard on Face the Nation, the host saying the following (paraphrased):

Bush is going to be in trouble if he can't the homeland security bill passed. It will really hurt his chances with other legislation.

MEDIA-WAKE UP

Bush doesn't support it. Just like with the establishment of the 9/11 commission, bush is opposed, but publically will say he's in favor. He doesn't care if it passes or not. He won't veto it, but he certainly doesn't support it.

I can't believe these people are so naive to believe everything they are told. The corporater media is a bunch of old, fat, wealthy sheep, easily led.

12. Money grubbing liars
I don't believe they are stupid. I believe they are driven by pure greed. Self serving, greedy and selfish.

2. all they need to do is ask themselves why one of Bush's lackeys,
Senator John Ensign (R) from Nevada has "misgiving" over it.

7. Probably not
I agree with those who say they're basically just acting as mouthpieces for the White House. It seems way too obvious for them not to be questioning this nonsense about "Rebellious Republicans in the House" -- even the most dimwitted would surely say, "but wait a second here..." So I think it's a conscious decision.
