OK, so I know wasteful defense projects are almost untouchable, but correct me if I am wrong but we've had it going since Reagan? So like 20 years?? As far as I have heard NONE of the tests have been successful?

Does anyone know the cost? I mean how many border patrol could the money have funded? If we took the money alloted to Star Wars and started putting toward Social Security? Would that help? This sounds like a winner: Dems vote to switch money from star wars to troop armor?

This seems like an issue that in the right hands could score points for the dems. What about using the $$ to give wartime bonuses to troop families?? Increase the earned income tax credit?

It is so wasteful. Anytime the Republicans bring up wasteful spending of Democrats, cue up Star Wars. It's the dumbest, most indefensible waste of money out there.

It won't stop a missile, can be thwarted by terrorists, and is good for nothing but funneling money to the military industrial complex.

Democrats should be smacking this pinata all the way to the bank.

every speech, all Dems talking on all news shows should say "Failed Missle Defense program left over from the cold war is robbing our troops of the funds they need"
