I believe that Governor-elect Gregoire should emulate the Bush model after the November 2000 election: act like you are the inevitable winner, publicly plan your transition, have large crowds of supporters with signs chanting "Governor Gregoire! Governor Gregoire!" in front of the Governor's mansion and generally work to run out the clock until the inauguration. Once she is inaugurated on January 12th it will be very hard to overturn the election.
That is exactly what the repub would be doing right now. It shows that there is a belief in the legitimacy of the election. Gov. Gregoire needs to show she's strong and ready to govern.
Even when Rossi was claiming victory, she planned her transition team and didn't give up.
What we do need are large crowds of people showing up in support of her. I've heard that people have been protesting Rossi, but we definitely need some people demonstrating in support of Christine.
