Who would have thunk it? Iraq is now coincidentally a new terrorist breeding ground since say...um...oh...about two years ago...

Seriously, people I know who are otherwise quite intelligent and rational think that the ongoing conflict in Iraq is good because then all the terrorists are attacking our troops instead of civilians on our soil.

Never mind that the goal of the terrorist mindset IS to kill civilians and that the "terrorists" in Iraq are simply fighting what they see as illegal invaders. *sigh*

instead of invading - spending billions of dollars and signing a death warrant for thousands of our own military, not to mention innocent civilians - W could have just sent $20 million dollars to Al Queda to set up terrorist camps and for recruiting.
