Reid:Pres need new pair of Glasses/Frist compares Social Security to Heart
http://www.crooksandliars.com/2005/01/16.html#a1344 video highlights
This Week hosted by George Stephanopoulos, Sen Harry Reid talked about Social Security:

Reid: Social Security is not in crisis!

George: So you think the president is manufacturing these crises?Reid: Yes, just like he's manufacturing crises about judges. He goes all over America saying democrats have held up my judges. I don't know what kind of glasses he's looking through.

Frist: It is in crisis. It's a little bit like medicine when a patient waks through the doors, I see the patient. I look at the tests and I look at the study and I know he needs a heart transplant.

1. I wish Frist would stick with medicine.
He doesn't seem to understand much of anything else.

4. You can bet Frist understands...
... he's just part of the wrecking crew. The point of the barrage by Repugs everywhere is to scare the shit out of as many people as possible for three reasons: 1) It adds to that generalized fear of the unknown that the Repugs have used for decades to convince the public that only they can take care of and protect the public, which helps get them elected, and 2) This is payback to the wealthy who support their campaigns, and 3) They're going to be able to use this in coming campaigns as a "we saved Social Security" routine.

Cheers.

Jimmy Stewart. I watched the program. Frist (my senator UGH) is lying through his teeth. The propoganda blitz is on and they're all onboard. Dems have to hammer away with the truth and look for opportunities to do it. Blitzer had a Bush administration official (can't remember his name right now) on for 30 minutes with no counterpoints and of course no hard questions or challenges to the outright lies. This is so sickening I was actually nauseous watching the circus.

edited for left out word.

5. Frist may be a heart surgeon
but he is like Cheney in that he has no heart!

I wouldn't want him to examine/treat/consult on any of my family/friends. This so-called humanitarian supports the lies told by Bush & Co...enuff said!
