I could reluctantly vote for someone who voted for the IWR, but would not vote for someone who actively supports the war - like Lieberman.

I'd be pickier if the neo-cons weren't so dangerous..

3. hard to say
I often struggle with this. I find myself so disenchanted with the democrats, but I know the repugs are evil.

Its just so frustrating being repeatedly left out in the political cold with the rollover votes again and again and again and again.

There is only so much a leftist like myself can take. I used to
be a hard core yellow dog. In a non competitive race, I automatically vote Green now.

5. Careful what you say there KMK. On another DU board, I had
someone tell me that I had "no business on a Democratic discussion forum" for saying as much.

6. Not so much an issue as a general concept...
That being, those who actively support the pursuit of wealth and hegemony over the pursuit of justice.

Of course, that eliminates pretty much 95% of the entire Congress! And it leaves me pulling the "Green" lever for President in the future.

But seriously, I can no longer acquiesce my conscience and vote for a pro-war candidate. Not only is it reprehensible on principle, it is a losing political strategy as well. I still can't reconcile Kerry's attempts to "out-tough" Bush and how doomed they were to failure, with the outright alienation of the vast majority of Democrats who were anti-war.
