If Bayh votes against Gonzales then he moves up in

my book. This would be a second vote that I would like and be surprised by him, after the no vote for Condi. Bayh could show me something if he does it again. I might have to give him a fresh look for 2008 if he continues in this vein.
1. I am not real fond of him, but I live in Indiana ...
Indiana almost a complete right wing state. 7 of 9 congressmen are GOP. The state government is controlled by the GOP and now the governorship once again. Being GOP light in Indiana is usually not good enough. If you have a (D) by your name you usually lose real quick.
7. I doubt Bayh could pull Indiana if he was VP...
If he was Presidential nominee it is possible but Indiana is a total right wing state when it comes to voting for president. It hasn't voted Democratic for President since Lydon Johnson.
9. Hi, WI_Dem. Yes. Either of those would be an --
-- interesting challenge on the GOP demographic stronghold.
We really do have to pick up two or three of the red states. I think those two tickets would hold the blue states (including the ones Bush cheated in the 04 felony election fraud!).
It won't make me a fan, but it will make me feel better about him. I was very surprised and pleased with the Rice vote and would love to be pleasantly surprised again.
