Pay attention to how slow or non-existent rethuglican condemnation of Robertson's comments have been. Then recall the firestorm over Dick Durbin's comments.

Here we have a supposed man of God and former rethuglican presidential candidate who called for the assassination of a country's elected president.

If a Dem made these comments other Dems would be climbing over each other to get in front of the tv camera to condemn the Dem for saying such a thing.

The lack of a Rethuglican response shows just how well disciplined they are and how in many cases we lack the same sort of discipline.

(NOW A HUGE CAVEAT - I am not saying we need to act as despicable. These comments are more than deplorable and we should not stoop to the levels of Rethuglicans when it comes to not criticizing a Dem that would say comparable terrible things. What I am saying is we need to pay attention to how well disciplined Rethugs are when it comes to criticizing their own party members. Look at how the DLC'rs treated Dean - you would never see a moderate Repug hammer a right wing Rethug like the DLC did Dean. That is what I mean about discipline.)

No Democrat should be inclined to apologize for speaking the truth after statements from the MORAL deficit of America can allow comments like Robertson's to go unchecked.

it's been interesting reading the responses from the Republican crowd. I would have to say that the extremists are definately NOT the majority and yet you hit the nail on the head, the non extremists are simply ignoring what they know to be a blemish on thier party.

In essense doesn't that make them complicit no matter how much they would love to deny responsibility that such idocricy is their new brand of politics?
