Bush, Schwarzenegger Won't Meet in Calif.

By Beth Fouhy / Associated Press

On his two-day swing through Southern California, President Bush's agenda included a stop Monday in Rancho Cucamonga to discuss Medicare and an address Tuesday to veterans in San Diego.

Conspicuously absent is a meeting with the state's most prominent Republican political figure, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Schwarzenegger has "no plans" to meet with Bush privately or publicly, said his communications director, Rob Stutzman. White House spokesman Ken Lisaius said Bush's busy schedule in California didn't accommodate an appearance with Schwarzenegger.

"The president has a full schedule out there, and I would imagine the governor is equally busy," Lisaius said. "The president enjoys a good relationship with Governor Schwarzenegger, and if we don't see him on this trip we'll see him another time." The two have long had a tentative relationship.

1. I can see why
The Gropenfuhrer's polls are lower than Shrub's. Neither can afford to be seen with each other

7. Yep. That's about the size of it.
Neither can afford to be seen with each other. It'll be a contest in who smells the worst.

5. The woman subbing for Al Franken of AAR today
was having fun with that.
Something about how Schwartzenegger, with his popularity rating of 34% , didn't want to be seen with *, with his popularity rating of 38%, left it damage the governor's popularity even further.

6. "The two have long had a tentative relationship."
MM said in F 9/11 that Ken Lay/Enron were his largest (1st) campaign contributors. Enron deliberately placed CA in a crisis. Arnold is rumored to have met with Enron. Arnold wants to redistrict CA into a Red State.

Haha. You just can't plan these things. That's sarcasm.
