There must be something….....must not there be?

I’m not being facetious. I really want to know.

I was asking a co-worker and W supporter, what has he done for you?

He said he'd tell me when he had more time. Ha! I admit I have blind hatred of W, and see nothing that has been positive.

I'm hoping there are less emotional people out there who can tell me some things that have been accomplished.

5. The only thing I can think of is that he dissed Cindy.
He single handedly reinvigorated the anti-war movement. He has made a lot of working people realize some hard truths about class in America. He really has been an uniter and he has inspired many of us to become very active in the cause.

But intentionally, not a damned thing!

6. Bushbots will say yes.
1. Their taxes haven't gone up like they would under a liberal.
2. They can keep their guns. A liberal would have taken them away.
3. Gays can't get married.
4. He's restored honor to the White House.
5. He kicked Arab butt. Liberals wouldn't fight them.
6. He's protected us from another terrorist attack.
7. He's putting conservatives on the bench. They'll protect our "values".

I'm sure their are many more. They are all bullshit, of course, but with rightards what do you expect?

19. ..Hi
2. They can keep their guns. A liberal would have taken them away.

Uhm - Bullshit?

We kept our guns under Clinton. With as much popular support, (including myself), the use of guns can't be 'done-away-with'. Maybe some restrictions on it, which I agree, are needed, but to say that a liberal president would've taken them away is wrong.

living without healthcare and paying our heating/power bills.

We have also learn how to setup tents and distribute first aid, organize protests, contact the media and our representatives.

i've a cousin who, at least the last time i talked to her two or three years ago, was a true bush supporter. i don't know of anything that the bush presidency has done for her, but these might be some of her answers:

1. bush has kept america safe.
2. bush's moral values have kept unborn children from being aborted.
3. bush is a moral man.

now, her answers have nothing to do with truth, nor with what has he done for her or true blue working people, but she cannot get over the emotional impass of all of the above and this is how she usually answers.

18. I agree catmother
I don’t believe he’s kept us safe. If anything, I think he keeps ratcheting up the danger level.

I'm in awe of the stupidity of people who still support this idiot. I find it hard to believe they are smart enough to put their own shoes on.

20. Yes, only ONE thing comes to mind...
His tax cuts have benefitted the high income people
the most, my benefit is mostly the increase in child
tax credit increasing from $500 to $1000, which has
netted extra $1000 in my pocket for the 2 kids.

to "do something for them."

They suppposedly would rather live their private lives with as little government interference as possible.

of his plan.

Same with Bill Clinton but he never delivered that one.

Edited on Sat Dec-03-05 04:18 PM by corbett
For example: EGTRRA

My wife and I took our $600 advance tax rebate and reinvested it into the economy (plane ticket to Germany) but the sum of what * has done for Halliburton and others is so immense that nothing at this juncture could balance the scales.

35. You'd think there would be something, but I'm stumped.
You can't count any money you might have gotten back on taxes because the cash was borrowed and your children and grandchildren will be paying China, Japan and Korea back for decades. Besides, the rich got a much bigger cut of the tax refund pie.
