Texas Gubernatorial Race...
I'm not a user on DailyKOS and don't have the patience to wait 24 hours in order to post a comment. So let me just say this here (they're talking about all the state goober races in 2006 in one diary).

The one thing they aren't looking at is the republican primary for the goober race in Texas. Carol Keeton Strayhorn Rylander WhateverHerLastNameIsNow, the woman who spawned Scotty McLies-A-Lot, is gunning for Perry's job.

What a lot of us Dems are really hoping for is a nice, big, bloody, protracted primary battle between the two repukes. Perry is looking very weak in his party and The Woman With a Thousand Names looks strong in comparison (again, WITHIN their corrupt evil party).

What I'm hoping is that he still wins the primary, but not without spending WAY too much of his money and not without being mauled half to death by her.

Then of course I hope for Chris Bell to win, but if he doesn't, that'll really kind of be ok, too, because Perry will not fare well in his second term. It'll make his first look like a picnic and it has NOT been a picnic. Not at all.

So by the time the next goober race rolls around, he'll be nothing but a twitchy gob of pulp lying on the floor of the governor's mansion and the repuke party will be that much more damaged by running someone so weak.

Now where's my popcorn?

2. What about Kinky?
Any chance he could pick-up on a feel-good sweep?

3. Kinky won't get the chance to Nader the Dem nominee -- he won't get the
signatures necessary to secure a place on the ballot.

4. I understand Judge Bob Gammage is seriously considering
getting in the race. The buzz is pretty hot 'cos he's a real fighter.

If we don't have a strong candidate in the Governor's race, we won't be able to pull the turnout to help downballot candidates. I'm tired of losing races to Delay-clones.

7. Why do you say that?
And I really don't care if she has a chance or not at being governor, I care that the primary race with Perry tears Perry the hell up and forces him to spend oodles and oodles of his money.
