Bring Home the Troops: I am not too sure about this
However, I am completely sure of this: BRING HOME THE NATIONAL GUARD!! Damnit!! Homeland Security begins with the national guard. We need these people here on our soil, not in some foreign land where they are picked off by insurgents. Furthermore, these are our mothers and fathers. These are our doctors, teachers, police officers, firefighters. These are not "troops." These are not professional soldiers.

1. If you are not sure about bringing home all the troops, you should listen
to the Iraqi people. They want us out. Now.
Colonial wars are not just a bad idea, they are against the law.

2. You have a good point, but I will never live long enough to see the
US bring home all the troops! We have the military in over 130 countries of the world and we're not about to give up those bases. The NG and Reservists should be on US soil. I keep wondering why they're being called up and sent to fight the 'war on terror'. Where are the regular troops?

3. Consider that civil war there was likely
as soon as Saddam Hussein kicked the bucket. Consider also that they're exhausted from a 8 year war against Iran, 10 years of sanctions, and now nearly 3 years of an anticolonial war.

We need to leave ASAP. There may be civil war, but it will likely be a very short one. All we're doing by staying is prolonging the agony while allowing our own military to be cut to pieces and our treasury bankrupted. We lose more friends in the world every day we stay there.

We need to get out NOW. We have done enough to those poeple.

After a government manages to rise, we can then supply them with rebuilding materials.

Nothing we do now will be allowed to stand. They hate our presence that much.
