In the Daily Press here in Hampton Roads, Virginia.
It was in response to a hateful letter about how Congressional Dems were either lying or stupid about pre-war intelligence.

"Wascally" Republicans? I was incredulous reading Jodie Atkins' letter to the editor ("Those poor Democrats," Nov. 29). She seems to think that the war in Iraq and how we got there are a big joke. The Democratic members of Congress are guilty merely of trusting that George Bush and the dissemblers in his administration would actually tell the truth when it comes to sending American troops into harm's way. It is a fact that members of Congress see only processed intelligence, not raw intelligence that comes to the White House.
Also, please remember that the administration rushed the vote for the resolution authorizing the use of force against Saddam Hussein during the mid-term elections in October 2002, while politicizing the issue of Democrats being "soft" on terrorism. So are Republicans actually admitting that the rush to war was a game of "gotcha" to pass the blame to the Democrats in the future if things went badly?
It is time for Americans to face facts. Republicans have been in control of Congress for a decade and the White House for nearly five years, and their policies are disastrous. From the environment to the economy to terrorism to Hurricane Katrina to the war in Iraq, everything Bush and his cronies touch is a catastrophe.
