Kick Ann Coulter! Nominate for Top Three Conservative Idiots

I got a double dose of AnnDrogyne with my morning wake-up. First, Garrison Keillor's "Writer's Almanac" included the phrase "it's the birthday of Ann Coulter...". My first reaction was WTF! but I knew GK's up to something...he gave the usual bio notes and then included her famous quotes about "We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity", which got her National Review Online column cancelled, and her remark to a disabled Vietnam vet that "No wonder you guys lost", which got her fired from MSNBC. Oh, and he did point out those unhappy consequences for AnnDrogyne. Nice way to get the message out -- present her work in the same forum, in the same format, as REAL authors and let people decide for themselves.

Then I see this from CNN:

Wow! Give that woman(sp?) the John Bolton Medal for Diplomatic Politesse! Way to go, Ann! With another Top Ten Conservative Idiots coming up, I'd like to nominate Ann for the top THREE slots -- win, place, and show -- so she can quote her favorite hero and say "I never expected to get the trifecta". OK, some of these are old quotes, but they are, sadly, literally unforgettable.

Let's get those nominations rolling in!

As for your talking points:
1. Any comparison of the words of Ann Coulter and Cindy Sheehan are beyond laughable.
2. Coulter often appears at forums (FNC, O'Reilly, H&C) where dissent is shouted down. If you can't stand the heat, Annie ...
3. If enough schools get the message that she shouldn't receive a nickel to speak, then she can seek the type of employment to which karma entitles her ... perhaps she can notify the family of the next young soldier who dies in the war she supports but doesn't have time to fight.

Here at PC, during the election, there were LTTEs upon LTTEs about how evil and liberal Kerry was, and how he would destroy us, and how the libruls wuz gonna take away the Bible and guns. However, the size of the Republican population is about 15-20% of the students here--if the accompanying polls were anything to go by.

Never underestimate the power of stupid people who have nothing better to do.

1. If Cindy Sheehan showed up, I guarantee the College Pubes would have behaved like three-year-olds.

2. Coulter didn't have to stop speaking. They did nothing except boo her. They didn't even throw a pie. There wasn't any oppression of free speech there--UConn just told her exactly what they think of her and her lies.

3. Again, did Coulter have to stop her screed? No. She just did it anyway--and the College Repubes lost the school $16,000. Who's dumber?
