I got a nice email from Kucinich about my cartoon!
Some of you may recall the cartoon we ran the day after Thanksgiving. Here it is.

I got this nice, short email from Dennis Kucinich:

"Hi. Just saw the cartoon. Hilarious ! Thanks for the mention. Best wishes, Dennis Kucinich."

It appears one of his followers sent it to his staff, who forwarded it to him. Looks like Claudia Slate is the Kucinich staffer involved.

6. Thanks. We have over 80 cartoons up.
Hope you'll look at some of the others. We cover the gamut on national politics, starting with Katrina.

3. With our science fiction movie subtexts ...
... You know if we have Kucinich appear in the cartoon, he's going to have to be a Star Trek TNG Ferengi!!

We've made references to Star Wars, Star Trek, The Matrix, and 2001:A Space Odyssey so far.

We're working on another Movie knock off now.

I have adult sons who are vegan. It took some getting used to! I'm better now.

8. I think someone from DU sent one of his staffers an email.
I'm not going to reveal the names, but the routing in the email revealed it had been sent to someone on his staff, and they sent it to DK.

Whoever sent it, THANKS!!

Making the little bear so cute was the idea of my Canadian partner in this cartoon. I was going to make him older, bigger, but he proposed a more Teddy Bear like Baby Bear. He IS cute, isn't he?

Baby Bear and his OVERBearing dad will be back. I want to use them to address family political dynamics.

9. That's great!!! If you happen to have any more correspondence
with Kucinich, ask him if he ever gets tired of being right all the time!

10. I'll remember that!
I agree with him on a lot of issues, but I don't think he can win the nomination or the presidency. He's a great congressman, though.

12. In North Carolina--
--he won the three counties where he appeared personally. Appearing personally in most of the counties of the country is pretty much what it would take to get him elected to national office, unless progressives somehow get well organized enough to multiply that effect. Obviously, we're nowhere near that ready at this point.

11. Actually, I posted it on the Re-elect Kucinich bulletin board
www.kucinich.us and the board administrator (that would be Claudia) forwarded it to him.

And I have your site bookmarked. You are really good!

13. Thanks! Appreciate it. I like to think we go a little further than most
I mean like the ones we have done on the the voters.

We did a really harsh, dark series on Katrina.

We're really hard on Bush, Cheney, and their gang of crooks.

In a few minutes, the new one goes up. I'll start a new thread for it.
