This should be OUR theme song: Someday At Christmas
This is a rarely played christmas song (from the 70's?), I think originally written by the Jackson 5, but there is a great cover by Stevie Wonder that I can't stop listening to (probably because I'd never heard it before until two weeks ago). It has a nice melody, and don't the words nicely sum up the democratic/christian position?

Call your holiday radio stations and request this song!!

Words:

Someday at Christmas men wont be boys
Playin with bombs like kids play with toys
One Warm December our hearts will see
A world where men are free

Someday at Christmas there'll be no wars
When we have learned what Christmas is for
When we have found what life's really worth
There'll be peace on earth

Someday all our dreams will come to be
Someday in a world where men are free
Maybe not in time for you and me
But someday at Christmastime

Someday at Christmas we'll see a land
(Someday at Christmas)
With no hungry children, no empty hand
(Someday at Christmas)
One happy morning people will share
A world where people care

OOOH!!!....

Someday at Christmas there'll be no tears
(Someday at Christmas)
Where all men are equal and no man have fears
(Someday at Christmas)
One shining moment, one prayer away
From our world today

Someday all our dreams will come to be
Someday in a world where men are free
Maybe not in time for you and me
But Someday at Christmas time

Someday at Christmas men would not have failed
Hate will be gone and love will prevail
Someday in a world that we can all start
With hope in every heart
OOOOh!!!!

Someday at Christmas..hmmmmmm, hmmmmmmm,hmmmm

But Someday at Christmas time
Someday at Christmas Time!!!!!!!!!!!

2. How 'bout this one:
(Rest in peace, JL):
So this is Xmas
And what have you done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
And so this is Xmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young

A very Merry Xmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear

And so this is Xmas (war is over)
For weak and for strong (if you want it)
For rich and the poor ones (war is over)
The world is so wrong (if you want it)
And so happy Xmas (war is over)
For black and for white (if you want it)
For yellow and red ones (war is over)
Let's stop all the fight (now)

A very Merry Xmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear

And so this is Xmas (war is over)
And what have we done (if you want it)
Another year over (war is over)
A new one just begun (if you want it)
And so happy Xmas (war is over)
We hope you have fun (if you want it)
The near and the dear one (war is over)
The old and the young (now)

A very Merry Xmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear

War is over, if you want it
War is over now

Happy Xmas
