Yesterday the RSCC was making loud noises about launching a big counter attack against dems. Maybe the news about Kidan's deal is giving them pause....U.S. Sen. Conrad Burns, under attack from Democrats for his ties to controversial lobbyist Jack Abramoff, will hold his fire largely until after Christmas.
"We have media planned for after the first of the year and continue to believe it's best not to get muddled up in this before the holidays," Burns wrote in a letter. He also called attention to a letter he sent last week to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, along with information that he says showed his relationship with lobbyist Jack Abramoff was aboveboard.
....
Burns, who according to a Bloomberg analysis received more donations from Abramoff and his clients than any other member of Congress, is part of that probe, the Wall Street Journal and other newspapers have reported.
