The war in Iraq will never be a success because it was based on lies...

It doesn't matter if it turns into a shining beacon of democracy, too many people have already died on all sides and too much division has been created in our own country and round the world. The very moment that it was shown that we were lied into this war, it was a failure. There is no success to be had from this debacle, win or lose. We, the people were lied to, our allies were lied to, and the United Nations were lied to. That is the foundation of this war and there is no victory there.

Lies or not, the neo-con wet dream of a compliant, "democratic" Iraq was never going to happen. Bush and co opened a can of worms that will take decades to sort out. The result will be worse than what preceded.

All they are after is control of the OIL and destruction of Democracy in America. They never had any intention of actually promoting democracy in the middle east, that is only a cover for their neo-con ideals.
