4. Boy, that's Chris Matthews in a nutshell
He makes up a "bombshell" event about to happen that turns out to be sheer horseshit.
A bunch of the professional blowhards he regularly has on Hardball as guests discuss it as if it was accepted fact
The person involved either ignores it or tells people it's horseshit.
Chris has another "bombshell"--the event is going to happen even though "everyone thought it would"

He used to pull this trick over and over during Monicamania...
