Mark my words ---- Bush's team will be eager to take out troops next year leading up to the midterm elections, have the elections, then bring more troops back in saying, you see we told Dems. those who wanted us to leave, we left, the place blew up, now we have to come back.

2. I don't see them really wanting to leave, and it would be a great

opportunity for them to use this for election gains TWICE!!! in 2006 and 2008....Or more if you count 2002 and 2004. These people are EVIL at their core.

In the meantime, people will continue to die.

This whole adventure was driven by 6 things:
oil,
permanent bases in Iraq,
demonstration of power to intimidate opponents,
W's oedipal complex,
advancement of Israel,
opportunities for graft.
None of these goals will be accomplished by leaving. We are there to stay until the next administration pulls us out or the civil war makes it impossible to stay.
