"Winter Soldier" - the film

It opened today in Washington, DC, thirty years after it was made.

I'm not planning on seeing it. I can't.

But, I wish this had been available when those Swift Boat Fucking Liars were trashing Kerry in 2004:

when.

Of course then it was just preaching to the choir.

I am already working working up the courage to see it whaen it comes to the West Coast.

5. Same reason I can't see

Holocaust documentaries/films. Same reason I won't go to see "Munich". Never will see "Schindler's List." Watched "Shoah," and lived to regret it.

Same reason I own all of Eli Weisel's books, but cannot bring myself to read any of them, having read "Night," and, again, living with regret. When I was fortunate enough to meet him, I started to cry, and that monument of a man understood and held me until I stopped.

It's too close to home. I already know the stories - I don't need to hear more.

As TomInTib said, "... preaching to the choir...."

I'm not a sir. Did you know that women can now become lawyers?

Second, I have no way of knowing that, and neither do you, since the people who own the film certainly have held it closely for a long, long time for their own reasons.

Third, I regret that Kerry got such bad advice, but as for straining credulity, your rudeness has gone far beyond straining mine with you, and so you will forever more dwell in the world of Ignore.

Have a nice life out there where you won't exist for me.
