http://onlinejournal.com/artman/publish/article_326.shtmlWonders will never cease! Who would ever have thought that Hosni Mubarak would nominate the Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon as the only Israeli politician capable of "achieving peace with the Palestinians"?
-snip-
On the international arena, Sharon morphed from being a pariah into "Mr Popularity" almost overnight. He couldn't believe his luck when he actually received a round of applause, albeit lukewarm, from UN Assembly delegates instead of the more usual mass walkout.

Then during September, Pakistan's leader General Pervez Musharraf praised Sharon as "a great soldier and courageous leader" before meeting with members of the American Jewish Congress in New York.

While the world isn't watching Israel's borders are being unilaterally re-drawn. Occupied Jerusalem is being cut off from the West Bank by a "security barrier", which Israel likes to term a mere fence.

In the meantime, Israel's Mr Nice Guy is continuing with his extrajudicial assassination policy and is threatening to impose an economic siege on Gaza by closing down the Rafah crossing into Egypt.
Can a leopard ever change its spots? Perhaps, but Sharon's have been affixed with the superglue of Palestinian blood and tears, which no amount of soft soap can erase.
